Civil Engineering Is One Of The Courses Offered In Faculty Of Engineering In Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, it is a branch of engineering that focuses on the design, construction, and maintenance of the built environment, including buildings, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure.

Course Duration

This course runs for a period of five (5) years, Upon successful completion of the five-year program, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), ZariaAhmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria awards a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Civil Engineering.

Cut Off Mark

In order to qualify for participation in the post UTME screening exercise at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for the Civil Engineering program, you must obtain a score of 180 or higher in JAMB.

Course Requirements

This is the course requirements for new students both direct entry and jamb candidates.

DE candidate

  • Two ‘A’ level/IJMB Passes which must include Mathematics Chemistry or Physics.
  • ND in Civil Eng. at Upper Credit from accredited institution.
  • HND in Civil Eng. with at least Lower Credit from accredited institution Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject. (Including Economics, Technical Drawing, Metalwork and Woodwork). Use of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Jamb candidate

Five ‘O’ level credit passes in the following subjects;

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and any other Science subject. (Including Economics, Technical Drawing, Metalwork and Woodwork).

Jamb combination

This is the compulsory requirements when registering your jamb.
