Brief history and Overview of Sule Lamido University

Sule Lamido University is a public university situated in Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, Nigeria. The institute was established on the 13th of May 2013,and was licensed by National Universities Commission (NUC) in the month of July 2013 as a University. In September 2014, academic activities around the school has commenced fully.

A bill by the Jigawa State House of Assembly was made effective to rename the University In December 2014. The institution is runned and managed by the Jigawa state government. The school is known for giving successful candidates admission irrespective of their cultural or religious background.

It was founded to be a top class University and to produce graduates sound in character and learning. The Vice Chancellor is Lawan Sani Taura. Prof. Abdullahi Yusuf Ribadu is the Pioneer Vice Chancellor.

Sule Lamido University Acceptance Fee Payment Procedure

new candidates admitted into sule lamido university are expected to pay a nonrefundable Acceptance Fee of two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only, using the approved mode of payment (Remita).

Steps On How To Pay Sule lamido university Fees

New and returning students should visit the school students portal and login into the portal with their Registration Number and utme score.

Generate a RRR and then print

You will afterwards be redirected to remita platform.

Make payment on the Platform

Print payment slip which contain payment details and confirmation RRR

Go back to the portal, login using your Registration Number as username and utme score as password

Summary Of School Charges for Undergraduate Students

For science based programmes indigenes of jigawa state (male) are to pay 25% of N70,000 (N8,750.00), leaving the remaining 75% to be paid by the state government. While non-indigene students of the University pay in full (N70,000).

The same style goes for the art based programmes, indigenes of the state are to pay 25% of N60,000 (N7,500.00), and the state government will pay the 75% left of the tuition. While students that are non-indigenes of the state pays in full (N60,000).

Note: Registration fee for both Female indigenes and the physical challenge are free of charge. And it is advised that all Jigawa State students should apply for the scholarship.

Sule Lamido University Hostel Fees

The hostel fees for the university is N10,000.00. The hostel is optional and open based on availability to interested candidates and students.

Unlike every other university in Nigeria Sule lamido university shortlists the names of undergraduate students for hostel accommodation from 100 level to 400 level.

Before being allocated their various hostels, The candidates whose names can be found on the list are requested to go to the schools senate building with the hostel payment receipt and their signed course registration form.

How to Check Sule Lamido University Admission list

The admission list of the Sule lamido university is released at once and based on merit. Notably, a notice is displayed on the school portal. And afterwards released on the website for all students to download. This will enable all prospective candidates for that year to know if their admission status is admitted or not.

Admitted candidates whose names appear on the list are advised to visit their JAMB profile on the jamb portal to ACCEPT and print their admission letter.
